A visit to Mitsui's roadheader factory in Omuta, Japan was a nice way to round out the end of the year. It was a highly successful visit in which Geodata KODA and Mitsui performed our acceptance test of the electrical, mechanical and sensors systems we've been planning for months.

With a refurbished roadheader in front of us we required to assess the existing accuracy of the system, and then make any tweaks to the calibration if required.

Last week KODA visited Franklin Barbecue. Having tried once before, but arriving way too late to be guaranteed food we opted out - determined to return another time at a more appropriate hour. KODA's been getting out and about quite a bit lately. One of my favorite activities is biking along the Barton Creek Greenbelt. I've been recording most of my adventures on my SUUNTO Ambit GPS watch, but haven't been able to do anything with the data as I lost the cable. Every time I get interesting in the data I realize that a replacement cable is a week away via Amazon.com, and I lose interest - well, until last week...
